Mitre Angling Club

Mitre Angling Club was established in 1967 when it had fishing on a single Pennine reservoir.

Nowadays Mitre Angling Club provides outstanding quality river fishing on thirteen miles of rivers and streams, including stretches of the Calder, Ribble, Wharfe and Doe, and on three reservoirs, all in beautiful surroundings in the Lancashire and Yorkshire countryside.

Mitre Angling Club members are predominantly fly fishermen, although opportunities exist for bait fishing on selected waters.

Fishing is for brown trout, rainbow trout, grayling, coarse fish, and some salmon and sea trout.

The club is relatively small, with an establishment of 90 members, so there is never a problem of overcrowding.
