We are official stockists for Nash tackle and bait, Korda, Guru, Trakker, Mainline, Sticky Baits, Dynamite Baits, Bait-Tech, Gardner, Shimano and Preston Innovations. We have a purpose built fishing tackle and bait shop and are always ready to help beginners, give advice on tackle and bait or have a friendly Fishermans chat over a cup of tea. Our shop opens at 9.00 am and closes when the majority of Anglers have gone home. Please purchase your fishing permit from here before you start fishing! We are sorry but we do not sell Environment Agency rod licenses. These can be either purchased at any Post Office or are available online. Sorry, no hire rods etc. will be available whilst the Covid-19 pandemic is ongoing. SHOP WINTER HOURS Over the Winter months, we are often out on the lake banks doing maintenance, so our shop isn't always manned, especially in the afternoons. If you are wanting to come and buy something, please phone first to make sure that there will be someone available to serve you. Leave a message and we will get back to you as soon as we can. FOR THE COARSE ANGLER We stock a wide and varied range of tackle and bait. We concentrate on consumables such as groundbaits, boilies and pellets, flavoured sweetcorn and meat all from well known brands to a multitude of bits and bobs. We also sell Shimano reels and a selection of rods suitable for use on commercial fisheries. FOR THE POLE ANGLER We have Guru and Preston Inv. Accessories, Stotz, elastics and bungs, pellet bands, catapults, floats and ready made rigs. FOR THE SPECIMEN CARP OR CATFISH ANGLER We stock Shimano Isolate LM94 bait, Mainline, Nash, Sticky Baits freezer and shelf life boilies, as well as pop ups, hemp, mixed particles and liquid attractors together with Nash, Korda, Shimano, Gardner, Trakker products. Un-hooking mats, 36 & 42 inch specimen landing nets, batteries, gas cannisters can all be purchased from here too. We have a weekly delivery of maggots and can get caster, squatt and pinkies to order. If we havent got what you want in stock in our tackle and bait shop, then please ask as we may be able to order it for you and can usually offer very competitive prices. We can also usually offer discount on some bulk bait orders, and trade pack purchases of hooks and terminal tackle. If you get hungry then we have a selection of Pringles, crisps, chocolate snacks, mints, flapjack and hot Pot Noodles. Cold bottled water, Lucozade, Ribena, Vimto and Cokes together with various cans are available from our fridge. If you forget, lose or break some of your fishing tackle and bait, then we can almost certainly ensure that you still enjoy your days fishing. We accept Mastercard, Maestro, Visa, chip and pin credit/debit cards. Sorry we do not accept cheques. Toilets are situated at the side (Ladies/Disabled) and rear (Gents) of the shop. We have a separate shower room with a metered shower 1 for 10 minutes. Next door to the shower room, we have a separate dish washing room.

However, one must not be deceived by the beautiful looks of this deadly fish. These specific species of fish are native to the South Pacific and the Indian Ocean. Also, variants of the lionfish species are common in the waters of Australia, South Korea, and Japan. Lionfish is a voracious eater that preys on smaller fishes and shrimp. Their venom-filled spines have enough toxins to paralyse and kill human beings. If a lionfish attacks a human, its toxins can cause severe pain, sweating, respiratory issues, and paralysis in extreme cases. Recently, a Welsh angler landed a lionfish off the coast of Dorset.
