Maldon Angling Society

Maldon Angling Society was established in 1895 and currently has 15 stillwaters and 14 miles of river and canal. Its location in central Essex means that most society waters are within easy reach of the A12 and just 30 minutes from junction 28 of the M25. The society continues to provide a range of stillwaters of various sizes and depths from small ponds up to 8 acre gravel pits along with several miles of river and canal; catering for both the specimen hunter; match and pleasure angler alike. Some have very easy access and others require more of a walk making them quieter and less pressured for those who like to escape the crowds. Ample car parking are a feature of all our major stillwaters. Night fishing is permitted on a number of our specimen waters. We also hold regular matches for those who enjoy competing against each other as well as trying to outwit the fish!
