Townsend Farm Fishery

The lake is one acre in size, and has 21 pegs which are either slabbed or mown grass.

The lake was built in 2000, and has a depth of 3-4 feet, and there are several deeper holes, which will hold the fish in colder weather. In 2008, the lake was re-stocked with a good head of carp, roach, rudd, tench, goldfish and a few bream.

There is an island in the lake which can be reached on oneside with a 16 metre pole, fishing tight to the reeds. Other popular methods include a small feeder tight to the island, waggler fished at around 5-7 rod lengths out, or down the margins late in the afternoon.
