Ogwen Valley Angling Association

The Ogwen Valley Anglers Association is entitled to fish two sections of the river Ogwen, both of which are approximately 2 miles long with both sides fishing.

The river Ogwen as a whole is about 7 miles long and offers excellent sewin fishing with a good number of salmon and grill.

Also available are four lakes as well as smaller rivers that flow into the lakes and the river Ogwen all contain wild brown trout.

The largest lake is lake Ogwen which lies near the A5 trunk road and is regularly stocked during the season with rainbow trout.

As well as fishing, the waters are at the heart of the stunning scenery of Snowdonia and the variety of fishing is a challenge for any angler or learner.

The river Ogwen is at its best when it is in flow following rain but at another time the lakes are attracting.
