Knypersley Reservoir

Run by Fenton And District Angling Society - Please note the postcode is approximate - Nearest Postcode ST6 8UG et in the heart of the sprawling Greenway bank country park on the outskirts of Biddulph and surrounded by mature woodland this water is stunningly beautiful throughout the seasons and is home to a wide variety of wildlife.

This huge expanse of water is best known for it`s vast shoals of bream with a ground bait and feeder approach often producing impressive nets from skimmers to specimen sized fish. Pike are present in small numbers and rumours of very large carp are not uncommon.

The water can be daunting to the average angler and is certainly a very different proposition to Black Lake but well worth a visit. Primarily a traditional bream water with incredible shoals to be attacked on feeder tactics, pellets and method feeder are the way to go but a traditional groundbait feeder will still produce the goods, fish from small skimmers to specimen size can be landed here.

Roach and perch will readily accept loose fed maggots around a float rig in the margins, large pike and incredibly large carp are known to reside in this huge water but location is extremely difficult and only the most dedicated specimen hunters will succeed.
