Bicton Specimen Angling Club

The Bicton Specimen Angling Club (BSAC) was founded in 1988 when a group of five friends Phil Green, Derrick Green, John Abbotts, Steve Lankester and Rob Morris, aquired a lease on a 2 acre pond in South Shropshire. Flintsham is a 16 acre estate lake constructed by Capability Brown in the 1700s;the lake is roughly the shape of a 50p piece with swims on 4 of the 5 banks the 5th bank is left for a safe haven for the fish and has climbing/walk out trees for fish observation. The lake is almost completely surrounded by trees and is 100%safe and secure. The lake has 16 swims. All swims can accommodate bivies most can take the Big two man pram hood type; four boats are permantley on the water and are used mainly to transfer tackle to the far side swims; but there is a path all round the lake; the stock comprises of between 80-120 Isle strain x Horseshoe fish between 20 and 40 lbs which are young mint condition fish that are growing all of the time. The Bicton Specimen Angling Club lake has its own fishing hut with w/c freezer; fridge; t/v; kitchen and seating area.
